Beyond Mama Bear on the Airwaves

My friend Craig Silverman (part of our parenting tribe from way back) is stepping in for Peter Boyles on 710 KNUS this week. Tune in Wednesday, April 4, dark and early (5:00 AM! Are you kidding me?) as I join him to talk about raising teenagers in this crazy world. Craig is a brilliant conversationalist, a fellow Colorado College Tiger, and a real-life dad of two adolescents. It's gonna be a fun conversation! (If you don't yet know Craig, be sure to check out his weekly Saturday morning show on 710 KNUS!) And if you're not an early bird, listen to the Peter Boyles Show podcast and the Craig Silverman show podcast archives.

BOOKSIGNING AT TATTERED COVER

Sunday, April 8 at 2:00 PM, I'll be at local treasure, independent bookseller extraordinaire, champion of readers and writers The Tattered Cover. *Please note: Aspen Grove location! Free and plentiful parking!* TC is the first bookstore I ever truly loved. Please support them, always. And think ahead for Mother's Day. Surely you have a friend in the Thick of It with a teen. Give her a gift of practical, keepin'-it-real advice: a personalized, signed copy of Beyond Mama Bear: How to Survive the Balancing Act of Parenting Teenagers.

I am so grateful for all your support. Together, we can survive the adolescent people who are so valiantly trying to destroy us. Above all, I hope my message will help us all feel less alone so we can muster the strength to know, protect, and honor our children. Shine on!

Is a teenager breaking your heart? Adolescence is not a permanent condition! Try not to take it personally.
