LISA LANE is an overeducated goofball who finds the funny in parenting teenagers, midlife romance, and navigating the chin hairs on her very own face. She is the author of two books for parents: Teenagers Suck and Beyond Mama Bear.

Lisa tours nationally with the Moms Unhinged Comedy Show and across Colorado with Comedy Works Entertainment. She headlines all-female events including Mojitos & Menopause and Galentine’s Day, and was featured on the Netflix sensation How to Build a Sex Room.

She also regularly performs at retirement campuses throughout metro Denver and works as an announcer, emcee, and voiceover actor [most recognizable since 2018 as the voice of TransAmerica Insurance].

Recent corporate shows include the Colorado Real Estate Finance Group, Donor Alliance, THMedia and HER Magazine, Heritage Camps for Adoptive Parents, The Dames Extravaganza, MLB All-Star Game 5K, 7450th Medical Officer Reserve Unit, Littleton Public Schools, and American Legion Post 1260.

Lisa’s shows for corporate and not-for-profit organizations offer wit and wisdom on work-life balance, the balancing act of working with other human beings, managing priorities, fighting ‘fires’ in the office, and leveraging humor to build business. Her energy, affability, and irreverent (slightly twisted) viewpoint make her a favorite keynote or opener at a variety of conferences, meetings, fundraisers, and networking events.

Her shows for parents, parenting groups, and educators offer frank and funny advice for frazzled families and anyone who knows the pain of working with teenagers. Based on years of research and experience as mother, teacher, and funny lady, Lisa’s message gives hope (and lots of laughs) to all those trying to survive the delicate balancing act of surviving adolescence. (Parents, you’re not alone. And you’re not imagining it: Your children ARE trying to destroy you! But there are practical ways to know, protect, and honor our kids as they make their way toward adulthood.)
